Google Maps

Google has a very bad track record of violating users privacy and selling sensitive private data of users to corporates. Google is tracking its users and when you click on accept and continue icon on your smartphone or desktop it gives Google unlimited access on your personal data.

Google Maps is a service which requires your location information to provide an assist to you at the time of navigation but Google Map services do so much more than required they track you even when they are not supposed to do so. According to a report from The New York Times, A Google Program known as Google Sensorvault is potentially turning over your location data to law enforcement.

If you value your Privacy better more than anything else The Smoking Earth Team will guide you on how to shield yourself from the Google Tracking Mechanism.

We don’t want you to feel paranoid over this but a 2018 Associated Press investigation reported that even if you manually disable Google Location History, Google Maps and other Google apps may still retain data about your whereabouts.

Google gave users an option to disable Google location tracking but the setting is nearly hidden and there are literally so many settings in Google, users have to know where exactly to look for.

Google’s Point of view in this Location violation is that such location-tracking features are intended to improve users experience. If you completely turned off all the location permissions on your Android over Google services you’ll have to miss out on Location-based Google services.
