Xperia XZ4 MWC

Japanese tech giant Sony is nearly wiped out from all of the major smartphone markets in the world. Sony is been struggling to sell their devices for many years now.

Sony is pushing the envelope for camera improvement for decades. In recent years they were the first company to sport a 960p Super Slow Motion video capture mode.

The biggest reason for the poor sales of Sony devices is always one big compromise. Sony was the first and still the only company to push the smartphone resolution to 4K(LED display) but the image quality still falls short of Samsung’s 2K AMOLED Display. This high resolution took a toll on the Battery and Consumers didn’t show interest in paying a high amount for average battery backup.

This year Sony is listening to the demand and shaping their device accordingly. Recent leaks suggested Sony Xperia XZ4 will feature a 6.5-inch 21:9 3360x1440px OLED(Finally ditching LCD display) a respectable 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable through a microSD) and a massive 4,400mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charge and Qi wireless charging standard.

This 21:9 Aspect Ratio is first of its kind in a smartphone display and due to this taller aspect ratio it might be uncomfortable to hold the device but the viewing experience will be one of the best due to the fact that movies are shot in 21:9 aspect ratio format.

The Camera department is one of the most anticipated Aspects of this upcoming device. Sony XZ4 is comprised of three cameras the first is a 16MP telephoto camera with an f/2.6 aperture lens. The middle camera a beastly 52MP camera with f/1.6 aperture lens. The last camera at the bottom is a 0.3MP TOF sensor with an f/1.4. The TOF sensor means it a 3D time of Flight Camera which helps users in Shopping and playing mini-games and also in improving autofocusing time of the camera.

Sony will use the latest Snapdragon 855 to power all these features and the device will is rated an impressive IP68 Water and dust resistance.

MWC2019 is just around the corner and SONY is hoping to shine in the market filled with 5G Phones, Foldable Phones, and Punch hole camera design smartphones.
